Door Question

LMC and other suppliers, split the years for doors between 1973-1976 and 1977-1987. Does anyone know what the differences are that require the split years?

I have a lead on a 1977 aftermarket door, for a really good price, that makes fixing a couple of dents in mine more costly than swapping the door. However, my project is a 1974 C20... and I am concerned about the reason the vendors split the years at the 1977 model year.

Thanks!

Dave

UPDATE: I just got off the phone with LMC and they don't know why the years are split at 1976/1977... just that they are different. Suggested I call the manufacturer...
