Re: Hood Alignment sideways and door alignment

The rear of my '61 hood sits high like yours too. I've seen other '60 & '61 where the rear reinforcement assembly of the hood separates from the hood sheet metal. The gap of the left side of my hood and the reinforcement is well over an inch. I use my hand to push down the hood corners after I've closed the hood. If you can do that, I wouldn't suggest moving the hood until the problem is fixed. I'm not a sheet metal expert; does anyone else have experience fixing a rear reinforcement assembly hood separation?
