C-30 twin saddles to single?

82 c-30 crew cab dually. Want to switch from the stock 2 tank system to a single tank. Is it as simple as it seems? Disconnect everything at the selector valve drop 1 tank an reconnect fuel line directly to the tank I want to use?
I would prefer to use the driver tank since it's more convenient to fill and less headache with switch valves sending unit etc.
Would give me more room for exhaust and an air tank on the other side.
Any help and guidance would be appreciated
