Rattling Door Mirror
Just like the title indicates, my passenger door mirror rattles when driving down the road. I had to replace the 'new' LMC door lock switch w/the original (new one broke on the 1st use) so I figured I would investigate the cause (tighten the hardware?) while the panel is off.
I see 2 rivet-nut style fasteners @ the top of the base & found a single external stainless screw @ the bottom of the base. I've never messed w/these later squarebody mirrors so what is the removal procedure? It appears the base gasket is not doing its job isolating vibration & requires replacement w/a new gasket (that's hopefully available).
