Motor mount issues

I'm putting a 6.0/4L80E into my 77 C10 2wd. I bought a set of the aluminum adapter plates off eBay that use the original clamshells. I've had a heck of a time with these things, they didn't come with instructions so I installed them backwards the 1st time. I have them installed the correct way now and have the clamshells bolted to them. The issue I'm having now is that I can only get one bolt hole to line up. Right now the drivers side is lined up and the bolt is in it but not tightened up. The passenger side still needs to come down and towards the center of the truck about 1/2" to 5/8".

I've fought with thing for about 4 hours now. Does anyone have any helpful advice? I'm considering throwing these plates in the trash and ordering Dirty Dingo's or Tejas.

If it will help, I'll try to snap some pictures tonight and post them tomorrow.
