71 4 speed transmission boot question
I need to replace the old rubber boot on my 4 speed manual transmission. I went by the local specialty shop and picked one up. But when I pulled my old one off I noticed the base was flat. Where the new boot has quite a large step in the front.
I looked online for different photos but all the boots I see have the step on the front. Then I went on LMC's website and they show a couple of options. The first one with the step for trucks with factory V8 and one without for factory V6. So I emailed and asked for an actual picture. Which they were nice enough to provide. The picture shows a rubber boot but the base is round where mine the base is oval, and the boots with the steps are oval. Any idea what rubber boot I need? I tried to upload photos but my phone isn't coperating. My truck original came with the V6 manual 4 speed combo. Thanks for any help. And sorry for any typos. Posting from my phone
