Heavy loads help

I have a 1971 GMC 4x4 3/4 ton on leaf springs. This is mainly a farm truck. I haul 2 yards of gravel at a time and need options on beefing up the rear suspension. In the old days you could take your leaf springs to a shop and have leafs added. Is that still the case?
Should I get a modern overload spring kit, air bags or just look for some 1 ton springs and swap them out?
Thanks in advance for any help!

Also considering a narrow dually rear end. Is that an easy swap?
