Noise and heat reduction solutions?

Ive reached a point in my build where installing noise and heat comes to mind. I have read about the vibration reduction products that can be snipped up and added to the floor and doors and such, and also the MLV products and cell foam products to use as a de coupling in between.

I am planning to carpet but not the kick panels so I am tempted to get some of this Noico stuff and at least apply it to the floor and inside the doors.

But since there is so much exposed metal in the roof , rear wall, dash and doors I wonder if its even worth the MLV and de coupling products. Anyone gone through this and found a solution that actually made a difference?
