Question about compression

Hey guys!

I'm going to be doing some work on my 5.3 that's in my 68. Currently it's got a intake, long tube headers and dual exhaust. Pretty much stock.

I plan on getting a Brian Tooley Racing truck cam stage 4 with springs and hardened pushrods. Aside from the cam I'll be doing a head swap, going from the stock 862's to 243's.

Should I raise the compression on the motor? I live in Cali and only have access to 91 octane so what's a good compression ratio to shoot for? I honestly have no experience with compression and would like to get your input on it.

Thanks in advance guys!
