New 2.5 spindles now require a wheel upgrade.
Hi all,
86' 4.5-4 drop. Got new McGaughy 2.5 drop spindles and found the part of the spindle where the steering ball joint connects to is rubbing the wheel. I ground some of the spindle which cleared the wheel, but not the weight and I do not want to shave the spindle anymore to clear it. I would insert pics, but don't know how. I can either go with a 1/4" spacer OR go bigger wheels. I was thinking 17". I know this may have been beaten to death, but since I can't take the truck to the shop I was looking for some good numbers for 17" wheels. I was thinking of 8" in front and 9"-10" in back. Back spacing: Tire size: Thanks for any help here guys.
