Running 350 engine / TH350 trans and NP 205

Located in Kingsburg, central Calif.

This is nearly the entire original drivetrain out of my '71. I recently did a 4speed conversion so have had the transmission and transfer case for sale locally, but I use the truck to tow a small RV trailer and have plans to travel farther from home so I'm going to replace the engine to increase overall reliability of my rig. So, the engine is also now also for sale along with the trans and transfer case. The engine is actually still in the truck so if you're local and want to see/hear it run that's no problem.

I have a lot of parts, all this stuff together is a pretty good start on a conversion to 4WD of a 2WD truck: included is a front drive shaft, a trans mount/cross-member, fluid lines for the TH 350 to the radiator cooler, torque converter and flex plate etc etc. The engine is a good runner, just returned home from a trip to the coast with my trailer. About a year ago I did some work and replaced the original heads with Vortec heads, while doing that project I saw the original timing set was still in the truck so I replaced that along with the cam and lifters to add a little more oomph. The rear main seal also has been replaced. While the heads were off I noted that the engine was still standard bore, the odometer reads 17,000 and my guess is that the odometer flipped once and actual mileage on the drivetrain is 117,000. The 350 (it is a four-bolt main block) doesn't smoke or use an excessive amount of oil. Along with the transmission I think there's still some good service left in these items.

I don't want to ship anything, local pickup only. I'll let the engine go separately, but want to sell the transmission and transfer case together. For the engine alone I'll take $350. I am keeping the intake manifold, headers, flywheel/clutch, distributor and water pump. What you'd get is the entire long block with valve covers, timing cover and harmonic blancer. For the transmission/transfer case and balance of parts - $550. For everything - $800.

There's a link to a youtube video below which is just a ride-along on a short drive to town to illustrate the trans is in working order, as well as the engine. Note also the floor mounted automatic trans shifter is included as seen in the pics/video.

Jeff
