So, my dad called...
May I start with my dad knows nothing about trucks. He is 72yrs old, love him to death, but has always bought new trucks and doesn’t work on anything.
Dad - Hey son, you interested truck Me - Not really, what is it Dad - I don’t know, believe it’s a Chevy Me - I really don’t need a truck, but what year Dad - You know I don’t know years, but seems pretty old Me - Like 1990’s old or older Dad - Older, it’s sitting in a concrete floor barn covered in dust Me thinking to myself - Hmmm... getting better Me - Do you think it may be early ‘70s or 60s Dad - Yeah, probably 60s. The old man drove it in the barn about 20yrs ago and turned off the key and hasn’t been moved since Me thinking to myself again - Hmmm...sounding a lot better, maybe I might NEED a truck after all Me - Is it long bed or short Dad - Longbed Me - Does it have a step on the side or are the sides straight Dad - Straight Me - What the heck, I’ll come look at it So, I show up and it is a 1966 C10 short bed (not long) and a step side (not straight). Needless to say, I bought the truck. I was pleasantly surprised! |
