Sources for LS engines in the Lower Mainland?
Hey guys, recently acquired an 87 C10 short box sans engine and transmission and really want to solve this problem by installing some form of modern drive train. Now that I have the truck in the garage, I've started to scour Craigslist for potential engines but unfortunately am not seeing anything too intriguing yet. Took a cruise Saturday morning to a local dismantler with $1500 in my pocket and plans on bringing home either a low mileage 5.3 or a decent 6.0 but all i saw were 250km+ engines, which were either missing parts or had hacked up harnesses or both! Mercy! So does anybody in the Lower Mainland BC area know a good place to buy a decent ls engine? I don't need the transmission, just want to find an engine that's reasonably clean, unmolested and complete as possible, would appreciate any leads and I'll make sure to give you the reference haha, thanks guys!
