Lowering the engine....what parts?!

Gents, need yout help trying to figure out a solution to this one.

I am preparing for an LS swap and am concerned out the engine's mounting height. Not because of the LS itself, but really to correct my current SBC height.

Quick version....i want to lower the height of the engine. I have a 71 with the 'old' here bolt mount on the engine side and the single bolt through the perch. This is not the clam shell style.

I have find if figured out that if i swap to the 73+ clam shell perch and mounts, then use the 'car' LS mounts that should lower it.

Is this true? If so, about how much can i expect?

Finally, if this will work....where do i find these perch?! I cant seem to find any aftermarket.

Or is there a better way to do this?!

Thanks!

~Ryan
