Gauge cluster swap

Will the cluster out of an 82 work in my 77, and vice versa? Are there any wiring issues? They both have the voltage gauge, temp gauge, and coolant gauge. The newer cluster has a working clock, and it just looks cleaner, IMO.

I am thinking of an LT1 or TPI swap into the 77, figured I might want the buffer at the back of the speedo head for that.
