Steel Dually Wheels With Disc Brakes
Hi everyone,
I am at the point on my 1988 Chevrolet V30 Crew Cab dually where I would like to swap the wheels and tires. Currently the truck is running aftermarket 17" wheels with 37" tires. This is my first 4x4 dually so please be gentle on my questions I really like the look of stock black steel wheels for their simplicity. I have attached a photo of a truck I like the look of however the truck is on stock 16.5-inch dually wheels with 2-inch rear wheel spacers on 36" 36x12.50 Goodyear Military Issue Wranglers. From the research I have done to date, it seems that people do not recommend going with the 16.5-inch dually wheels due to the limited amount of tire options. My only concern is if I go with a 16-inch wheel, will I run into an issue later when I upgrade the rear 14bolt to disc brakes. Any recommendations or tips?
