Correct TH400 Dipstick Length

The handle on the dipstick for my TH400 broke off at the cap. I have been trying to find a direct replacement so I don't have to replace the tube as well (it's not leaking and I want to keep it that way). The old dipstick measures 24 3/8" from the cap to the end of the stick. The closest replacement I can find is 24", and it says it is made for a TH400. Does anyone know what the actual length of the stock TH400 dipstick is in a 1970 C10? Is it possible my dipstick has become 'stretched' over the years at the bends on the stick (doesn't seem very easy to bend though)? Or do they just not make replacements that are the same length as the original?
