The New prosess 435 is not a close ratio trans perhaps you mean the Np 445 witch is a close raito trans .
If you are not happy with that replacment one you found, I would look in to Dodge, since they are pretty much where the first ones to use the New Process 435 , The NP 435 was used in dodge trucks since the early 60s all the way to 93 , So you may have better luck in your search for a OEM one with proper fitment.
