Aftermarket electrical parts

Tell me about your thoughts/experience on aftermarket electrical parts.

I've been throwing a code for over 10 years and have replaced almost every part associated with it. I started with changing the accelerator pedal position sensor for a p1125 and p2125. It worked initially but within days the problem resurfaced so I thought it was due to another issue. (When you rework your own harness and buy an engine off craigslist there's always doubt/questions.)

10 years later and a lot of intermittent down time not using the truck, I think I'm back to this part. It is a Dorman part. Now I'm buying a different company's part to replace this...fingers crossed.

With a lot of internet research I've heard some rumblings about using aftermarket parts. What say you?

Lately I try to buy AC/Delco parts for my other truck/cars. Sometimes that's not an option. Any specific companies you like/dislike?

Wil
