283 rollover

So about 10 or 15 years ago I bought this 283 and foolishly didn't try to turn it over. I have kept oil in the cylinders and turned it over a couple times a year. It was always tucked back in a corner so didn't really turn it much, just enough to keep it from setting up.Long story short dug it out and started messing with it. Thing is I can turn it over by hand without a whole lot of resistance. Plugs are in. Am I wasting my time on this motor? Low compression? Any thoughts? Thanks and Happy new year!
