Brake Master cylinder swap question

Need some advice on brake master cylinders. I'am putting a 1986 cab on my 1980 frame, the cab has a almost new brake master cylinder but the connections are reversed (large and small line hook-ups) will it work right if I just reverse my lines to mate up or do I need to replace the master cylinder?
