manuals needed for specific year model truck
Ok... this is a little thing I'm trying to figure out, for research purposes. If I am wrong on any of this just politely let me know... the following list is based on things I have read and been told by fellow truck geeks.
I have been told that the 1960-1962 trucks are built one way... then in 1963 they changed a lot of things, mechanical wise under the trucks. Then in 1964 they changed some more things, most obvious are the doors/windows and the windshield. So, I'm just trying to come up with a list of manuals that are needed based on what year truck you have. If you have any corrections or suggestions, please let me know. -W 1960 Chevy Truck 1960 Chevy Truck shop manual - - 1961 Chevy Truck 1960 Chevy Truck shop manual 1961 Chevy Truck Shop manual supplement - - 1962 Chevy Truck 1960 Chevy Truck shop manual 1962 Chevy Truck Shop manual supplement - - 1963 Chevy Truck (significant changes were made this year model) (is there any need for a 1960 shop manual for this truck?) 1963 Chevy Truck shop manual - - 1964 Chevy Truck 1963 Chevy Truck shop manual 1964 Chevy Truck Shop manual supplement - - 1965 Chevy Truck 1963 Chevy Truck shop manual 1965 Chevy Truck Shop manual supplement - - 1966 Chevy Truck 1963 Chevy Truck shop manual 1966 Chevy Truck Shop manual supplement - - The 1960-1966 chevy truck factory assemebly manual is very handy as well. It was suggested to me by Jolly(I dunno if he lurks on this forum or not) that it would be good if everyone had the 'Operators Manual' for the specific year of their truck. Jolly told me about this same type info for the GMC trucks on the National 6066 GMC truck club website: 1960-1966 GMC Light Truck Maintenance Manuals |
