Skokie, like was said, stock tires are a bit over 28 inches tall. A 235/75/15 works well, or my favorite is a 275/60/15. They are also 28 inches tall, but much wider.

It depends on what "look" you want for your truck.

By the way, don't get too caught up in having a tire exactly 28.8 inches tall. Like the poet said, tires vary a bit from brand to brand. Also, believe it or not, a fresh tire with full tread is a good bit taller than a tire that is worn from a lot of miles. Those perfect tires will be a 1/2 or 3/4 inch shorter when they get worn some.
