Carb and gas issues

Got a few questions.

1. Every now and then my truck will run rough and it seems to mostly happen after I drive it for a while. Like to work and then on the way back once I get off the freeway. What its doin is at 20 it'll kinda sputter down the road, the engine will go completely quiet then start to go 'putt putt ', like it wants to cut off and has if I keep applying gas. If I take off the gas for a sec it'll go back to fine and I'll be able to go maybe about 5-10mph faster before it comes back. I'm guessin this is my carb, though read that everyone blames it first, and really don't know what I can do to it to fix this. Have no idea what brand carb I have but the numbers 32747 stamped on it, its a 2 barrel and they stamped filter on the front of it for location.

2. When I get enough money I'd like to replace my carb with a new one and I was wondering if someone could recommend a few that would be good. The carb off the '80 is a Edelbrock 1406 and sure it could use a rebuild, and I remember reading about the Holley truck avenger carb. I'd like to know, whats the difference, if any, when switchin from a 2 barrel to 4? And how do I know how much cfm I'd need? I found a calculator to measure the cubic feet but don't know volume.

3. There seems to be a problem with my fuel tank/hose. When I pump gas my truck is makin the pump think I'm topped off so it's a pain to fill up. I'm havin to constantly pump the handle which takes forever. Haven't really checked it out much yet, but would you think it's just somethin in the hose?
