V8 swap ?
Hey guys, my v8 swap into my 69 panel is well underway. The motor is in (81 Camaro HEI 350) the proper v8 position, the tranny is bolted. I had to lengthen the driveshaft, but fortunately the rear section of a 2 piece panel driveshaft is 4" longer than the front shaft..so all I did was transfer the carrier bearing from a front section to a rear section of shaft.. and it should work. i felt pretty good about my fab skills at this point! But, alas there are a few issues ...
1. The throttle rod on my panel is too short.. is there an easy fix, without having to lengthen this shaft? The bracket and throttle cable from the camaro are still on the intake. 2. Does anyone have pix of the brackets on a 86 chevy truck 350 with ps, a/c. I am using these brackets.. and I wasn't involved in the teardown, so I have no idea of the configuration. Thanks much ..and I'll post some pix after finished..
