wow thanks for all of the info the motor!! I started doing resaerch and called our local machine shop today. And for roughly $1,200 the 283 would be sitting at the 300-320 horsepower mark, and if you ask me thats pretty darn good. Thats bore .60 over, .485 lift roller cam, vortec 68cc heads, edel. vortec performer intake, edel. carb. and some other goodies.
