Starting problem after engine heats up 305

My 84, Silverado runs great except that once the engine is warmed up and you turn the ignition off it will not start again until it cools down. Will crank but sounds like the battery is low (not a bad battery - checked).
Starter coil is what i am considering replacing at this point, any ideas?
