Replace camshaft gear
The camshaft gear on my '64 truck straight 6 has stripped and requires replacement. The manual says that the camshaft must be removed and the gear removed and re-installed with a press - which requires removing the engine.
Is there an alternative? Grinding the gear off? Any suggestions based on experience would be appreciated! |
