transfer case ?
Ok I have a 98 z71 with a newly rebuilt transfer case. I never even put it in 4 wheel drive until today and just tried it today to see if it would go into it. It shifts into 4 wheel by a lever on the floor(not buttons). However when I go to 4 lo everything is great, but I cant go back to 2 or 4hi until I turn engine off. It grinds real bad when I try to shift back when in neutral and stopped with ebrake on. Wont shift out of 4lo in park, and only way to shift out of 4lo without it grinding is to cut engine off and place into neutral first. What would cause this?
