rear springs

Anybody ever used chevelle springs on the back of your truck? I had a local drag racer say that his truck launched best with a set of worn out station wagon springs (before he tubbed it...) His truck ran like 5.70's in the 1/8th mile so I figure he knows what he is talking about. I've got a set of Chevelle/El Camino "cargo" springs that I thought I might try.

PS. I understand I won't be able to haul as much stuff, etc... I'm just looking for a little less rake and better weight transer. I went for another shakedown run and all I could do was SPIN, SPIN, SPIN....

videos to come soon!
