Frame differences: 78 4WD Blazer vs. 82 Shortwide Pickup - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Just curious what the frame differences are. I found a clean 4wd 78 balzer but im allergic to heights and i want it on the ground. i already have a slammed 82 shortwide box can i simply swap out the bodys and make the 82 shortwide a 4x4 and the 78 a 2wd? just curious is this is a straightforward swap or if there are enough differences to cause concern? ive read through hours of old threads and ive seen alot of info on swapping crossmembers but none that swapped the entire bodys out all together. thanks guys
