We Will Not Be Undersold.... MY A$$!!!

Hey guys and gals, I say we all boycot those damn bastards at JEGS! check out the letter I sent and feel free to check out the BIG difference in prices for the item below.

NutZ

To Whom It May Concern,

I do business with JEGS. I will admit, I shop around for what I consider to be the "best-buy". In the past, I have purchased from JEGS. I have a lot of friends who, like me, purchase from JEGS. I would like to continue to purchase from a company that "I believe in". However, recently I found that a competitor of JEGS, namely Summit Racing, had an item below what JEGS has the same exact item listed for, and I was told that I could NOT get the same item for the competitors listed price? What Gives with this statement? "We Will Not Be Undersold If you find a lower price on the same item, let us know and we will match it." That is an exact quote from the JEGS website and the same slogan that is repeated over and over on JEGS commercials that I see aired on T.V., not to mention what is listed in your printed catalogs.

Here is the item in question, that I was wanting to purchase through JEGS: (you can feel free to check on the price difference here...)

JEGS part # 270-11307-1 Summit Racing part # CRN-11307-1

These are the exact same products from Crane Cams. How can you advertise that you will not be undersold, and that all a customer has to do is provide proof that the item is the same for a lower price and not allow for the adjustment? I have worked retail in the past too. I have had to authorize transactions just like this where, indeed, we bit the bullit so to speak, but the customer was right in their inquiry. If this was to happen at my company, I assure you there would be no need for anyone to send an email such as this to my company complaining of this injustice. The customer is always right, right?

I am sure that this complaint and concern will be swept under the carpet. I WILL continue to fight on this topic/issue though. I am so tired of big companies offering/promising one thing and then going back on their words. I have aquired the day supervisors phone number extension at JEGS and I will be calling Les tomorrow (9/14/2005) and voicing my opinion in regards to a blatent lie! Yes, I say lie... a false statement deliberately presented as true. "We will not be undersold". Obviously you will be undersold.

What do you all think? I hope to stir some reat shiznit up with this one!
