HELP...Stock '68 327 fan/shroud alignment

My fan is hitting the inside of my shroud. I thought I had all the stock components for this truck when I put it together expept a fan spacer. I got a 2" extension to put the fan inside the shroud but when I drive over uneven ground the fan hits the inside of the shroud. I have adjusted it a couple of times but can't get it centered quite right. I am wondering if the fan is too big, it should sit outside the shroud or if I have a broken motormount. A picture of a stock set-up, shot from slightly behind the shroud toward the front of the engine compartment will tell me lots. Here is mine from that angle.

What diameter fan do you have and what length spacer?
