cracked dash cover repair??

Hello,

I have owned 3 different suburbans. All have had cracked vinyl or fabric
of some sort in the Dash Pad. Has any one ever replaced this large piece that goes from one side of the dash to the other side. With speaker holes and defroster holes in. I don't want one of those coverover things. I would like some advice as to removal and replace and where would a person buy one. I have a 1991 Suburban.
Thanks for any help.
