Pics of my 68' CST w/396
What's up folks?
I finally got some pics scanned in of my truck. What do you guys think? A buddy of mine took them a couple of years ago and the negatives have been sitting around until my girlfriend took them in and had them developed. It's a 68' Chevy with 67 front fenders. I think the truck was wrecked several years before I got it and they replaced the fenders and hood then. The motor is a 396 except it's not a numbers matching unit. When I ran the numbers on it, the book said it came out of a 69 police cruiser. Numbers matching doesn't mean a whole lot to me in the long run anyway. The glove box door says it was a 396 though. The truck is in pretty solid shape but now some rust has poked it's ugly head through the paint. I've got a new set of fenders and doors on the way to take care of that. Future plans include lowering, possibly air-ride, disc brake conversion, some kind of stroker kit for the motor (any ideas are welcome), probably the same color paint, and a large set of torque thrusts. Everybody's enthusiasm on here has got me pumped to start working on it. Thanks for your help!
