gas tank sending unit

First chevy duty has them for 29.95 is this the cheapest you guys have seen?

Second the one I have now has a rubber fuel line jumping sending unit to metal line about 2 inches the new ones look like they are to bolt to metal line?
Can I just cut off the fitting and use the rubber hose? Or is this not good? I dont really want to redo the hard fuel line.

Thanks
