Headlight Problem Solved !!!
I found the problem with my light, what I thought was a bad ground turned out to be a bad plug on the driverside dim (outer) headlight. I decided to go ahead and wire the relays up to my headlights to see if it fixed it but it didn't. Then checked dimmer and found burnt plug, replaced that still didn't fix it. then ran new wires and plugs from passenger side and had driver side disconnected passenger side iner bulb didn't glow so I reconnected the old plug and wires and still no glow! so then I hooked the driver side up and they glowed. replaced the plug on driver side and problem solved!! After driving tonight with the relays hooked up I was amazed how much BETTER I could see the road! I done some volt checks before and after and this is what I found: 13 volts at battery, 11.5 volts at the dim bulb (before), 10.10 volts at the bright bult bulb (before), I was also getting 1.8 volts on the bright bulbs when the lights were on dim, this is why iwas getting a slight "glow" from the dim bulbs. after I wired the relays I got 12.16 volts at dim bulb, 11.79 on bright bulb and after replacing driver side dim plug no glow from bright lights. It was well worth the effort. Total cost of job... less than $5 by using two relays and plugs from salvage yard!
