Thread Locked; Post Deleted.... Why?

My 'What's it Worth' post was deleted & the thread was closed. Why?
I did not list the truck as 'For Sale' or it would have been in the proper forum & I would pay my $25 fee first.

I use this site regularly to gather information & when possible, offer help to others. In this instance, I needed information to make an educated assessment on the value of the truck. How am I supposed to do that w/o an honest assessment from my peers? I do not need this info solely for the 67-72 truck board. I would actually be advertising it for sale locally because it's easier to allow someone to just come & look @ the vehicle themselves. From my original post, there were: 3 seperate evaluations of the trucks condition & possible market worth; 2 basic general comments; 1 offer of interest to possibly purchase. The evaluations were what I was looking for, the general comments appreciated, & the 1 offer to purchase the truck was not solicited.

Although I'm currently not a supporting member, I am a contributing member. I do not use the board only as a method to personally profit. This post is not to generate controversy. I would go straight to whomever closed the thread & deleted my post but it seems that when moderators deem that action is necessary, there's no indication of which moderator.

I believe there are 5 possible moderators for the 67~72 forum. Might I suggest that a moderators signature be left when they feel it's necessary to delete a post or close a thread so the person knows who to contact?

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.
