Re: 350 Engine Position (Long ? sorry)

I have a 70 that had a 6 in it. I put a 350 in it on the 6cyl. mounts. The dist. almost touched the firewall. When I put in my t-56 trans I had to move the motor forward, used the V8 mounts. I have the long water pump, plenty of room. They made three motor mounts for these trucks, one for 6cyl., one for small blocks, and one for big blocks. I just wonder if you might have the big block mounts.
