To cut or not to cut!! This is the question!!
I was outside parting one of my 69 Chevy trucks when all of the sudden out of the blue an idea popped into my head... As some of you know I am working on another project. It is a 72 Cheyenne K/20 with A/C. I am installing a BB 402, t-400 trans/np205 transfer case, Dana 70 rear, and a Dana 60 front.
My idea is to cut the frame and add the length to make it into a Longhorn!! I was looking at my nearly pristeen Longhorn bedsides with tool box option when it struck me.... Wow!!! It would be cool to have a Longhorn 4X4 with everything that I want to do to it. ![]() ![]() What do you guys think? Should I? I know it's my truck and I should do what makes me happy, but how do you think it would look? I have two good steel bed bottoms that I could cut and weld together to make a steel Longhorn bed bottom and make it look like stock would have been if GM made steel bottoms for the Longhorn. What do you think? Would you do it if you had the parts and space to do it in? WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com
