Ammeter--boy am I stupid...
My Ammeter was not working....so I removed the instrument panel and replaced the ammeter gauge with an NOS one that I got off EvilBay. Put it all back together but the gauge still would not work. Decided to look in the shop manual and found the there are TWO fuses in the harness for the Ammeter???? Anyhow, replaced the fuse on the drivers side near headlight (18 guage black and white wire) and voila...Ammeter works.
Wish I had looked at shop manual before starting...Oh well...live and learn.
