Well, I have run into another problem and wanted to see if anyone else is in the same boat. I put a sbc 383 in my truck and added an aluminum short water pump, the problem I have is now with the short water pump I dont have a bracket to fit for the alternator. I was told the only way to fix this is a late 60's model corvette bracket. Is this true or can someone shed some light on the subject. Some of you my know about the alignment problem that I was having, turned out a speed shop said that I have to shim the harmonic balancer.
I thought this part would be easy...herrs some pictures so you can see the heads and bolt holes. thanks all!
