New member from accross the pond!
Hi There,
Found this forum after weeks of searching for somewhere on info for 69 Burb. Great to be here at last As the title says Im accross the pond in the UK! And parts are somewhat completly non existent LOL Well what do I have? Its a 69 Burb long wheelbase Custom 20 8/350 with 4 speed manual. Pretty much standard at present but Im putting a Getrag 5 speed on the back of the 350, going to swap in some air-bags (will need advice on this soon so whatch out for the questions to start) then depending on funds swap in some 20" wheels. I want to stay with the 8 stud option I have now so when winter comes again (has it left??....dont feel like it!) I hav put the old steels back on as the use copius ammounts of salt on the roads here that eats nice wheels in a month or so. Im just desperate for a replacement lift gate (Isnt everyone!) as mine is shot. Also converting it to dual fuel with a LP-gas conversion that I picked up for $150 as gas here is now about $7 a gallon! Any way, Im also building a steel 32 Pick-up with 55 Buick nailhead. For pics of the burb & the rod have a peek here . http://community.webshots.com/user/englishrodder Burb pics are in the 69 Burb album, and the new rod is in the Speedshop album.
