To All 73-87's With 1.5" Chopped X-members.

Heya guys, I got some questions for those of you with the 1.5" sectioned crossmembers. I just finally got around to setting my front end up, and i noticed i had some trimming to do on the crossmember around the edges, and on the end of the U-bolts that hold the lower arms on, so the steering could clear. But now i have ran into a bigger problem, when i turn the steering all the way to one side with the truck raised all the way up, the nut on the pittman arm doesnt clear where the bushing on the lower control arm is. And if I were to lower the truck when the steering is turned at max, even just a little, the nut on the pittman arm would bind bigtime with the lower control arm. Just wondering what you guys did as far as clearance of the lower control arm.

Would a set of strong arms solve this?
