wisdom from the stupid
Never do suspension work on a angled surface.
I have a saggy butt so I decide to put another 1/2" in the rear. My driveway is fairly steep but i figured the driveline would keep the rear end in place while i replace the rear blocks. oh, and i have no ring gear in the front so i cant even lock the hubs to hold the truck in place. I was a little nervous a few times yesturday. Things werent real stable. I used a cherry picker to lift the truck cause my floor jacks wouldn't go high enough. Should have been a 1 hour job. Guess not. I got the rear end unbolted from the springs, and the u-joint spun and the entire rear end rolled about 3" down the driveway. Needless to say i was very persistant and i got it all back together but i will not do that again.
