i work in a restoration/collision shop and bascially we work on the restorations 40hrs a week and then bill the person and then when we recieve payments, then we work another 40hrs on them....unless a customer puts a good amount down and then we'll do as much as the money will take him.....we have enough guys in the shop to balance out both...but it all comes down to people having enough money to finish their projects! it is unfortunate that alot of people have dealt with retarded bodyshops who don't really give two craps about the work they do just production. but there are some body shops out there that do it right and on time! that's my 2 cents
