Exclamation maybe you can help me???

Hello all,
I am thinking about buying an old truck off a guy and while it is not a chevy it is a 56 with a 6 in it. My question is this, If i end up going for it what all should i do as it has not been run in 5 years at least? i know it turns by hand. What Should i do first to prep the motor for a fire up? Oil the cylanders change engine oil? Then dissconect the coil and crank it with the starter to prep the motor with oil? Then should i connect the coil and put fresh gas in it and give it a try? i would clean the carb and lines befor i would try it ofcourse. Any tip you can give me ? What about leaded gas? motor has 15,000 miles on it according to the title so should i add lead? i have read diffrent reports on this. I would be keeping the motor if i can get it to go and maybe rebuilding it. i just wanted to see what you could give me for pointers. Also it is not a chevy but i think the same ideas will reply.

Thanks
