Borgeson shaft update
I wanted to thank everyone for their input. I swapped the steering shaft and it is driving great now. It really wasn't that bad before, but I had one ragjoint fail in my driveway and it scared the crap out of me. It's nice to know that something else will have to fail to kill me now.
Here are th borgeson part numbers that I ordered (I actually got them from Summitracing). All told they cost me about $220.00. It was about $30.00 cheaper than what Borgeson quoted me to build it custom. I had to cut about 6 inches off the 1"DD tube to fit it. 14940 (13/16" 36-spline and ¾" DD) 033452 (3/4" 36-spline and 1" DD) 450024 (24" telescoping shaft 3/4DD and 1"DD tube) I'd promise some pics, but I am notoriously slow with those. I thought the part numbers might help someone. Newer boxes might be 30 spline instead of 36 so it always helps to count them before you spend the dough. It's a one banana job at the most. adam
