Rear Shockwaves. Installing at an angle?

I installed the new 4 link but ran into a little problem. I installed the lower brackets just like you are supposed to but the shockwave is really close to the frame rails. I am sure it would be okay but don't want to take a chance. I was thinking about making a different bracket and installing the shockwaves at an angle and wasn't sure if this is okay? Am i not going to get the full amount of travel because it is at an angle? I thought since both would be angled the same wouldn't they cancel each other out and have normal travel? I think that makes sence . I would like it to be still very functionable. Thanks ahead of time!
