I was looking for big block motor mount information when I stumbled onto this site. It took me awhile, but I think I have it sorted out. I will probably go with the non 72 towers, and heavy duty small block mounts to the block, with Hooker comps.
I am building a 72 lwb fleetside. I tracked the history of the truck back to a guy in Cocoa Beach. The truck was in very good shape, but I decided to do a frame off. I'm not sure I would do that again. Likewise, I built a 427 for it, but would probably opt for a 572 or 502, "with a warranty", if I were to do it again. I've got it down pretty low and modified the upper A-frames so the ball joint was not binding at a steep angle. I also shot holes through the crossmember so I don't have to look at the exhaust. This is my first message board participation, and I hope I can learn something as well as pass on some experiences I have had.

Cool Runnin!
